The D-Link DUB-AV300 Audio/Video Grabber is a high-speed video-displaying and capturing device that provides a powerful interface between your PC and your analog camera, camcorder or VCR. It allows you to use your analog camera to carry out video conference, video mail, surveillance and periodic or long-time recording from your PC. Using resolutions as high as 720 x 480 pixels, the device converts your analog data and compresses it to MPEG1/2/4 or various other digital data formats. In addition to the video image, audio data from your camcorder/VCR is also captured and converted to a compressed digital format.
High-Speed Connection to PC
The DUB-AV300 employs a built-in hardware MPEG1/2/4 encoder/decoder chip which does the processing of the captured video steam data, providing very high-speed analog-to-digital conversion from your analog camera/camcorder/VCR. The DUB-AV300 interfaces with your Windows PC through a high-speed USB 2.0 port or high-speed USB 2.0 hub. An S-jack and RCA audio/video input are provided for connecting your VHS camcorders and VCRs, allowing your PCs USB bus to take audio/video streams from your analog device.
Video Recording and Frame Capture
Once you have connected your camera/VCR to your PC, you can begin making digital video from traditional analog video streams. The DUB-AV300 bundled software allows you to record digital video directly to a PC hard drive, record digital video for attachment to an e-mail, capture still frames, and set up motion-sensing video recording.
High Quality Video
The DUB-AV300 allows you to capture to your PCs hard drive at up to 30 frames per second in 720 x 480 pixel resolution. It captures CD quality stereo audio at 16 bit, 24KHz sampling rate with a unique A/V synchronization feature. The snapshot function lets you capture 720 x 480 pixel still images from your analog video source.
Format Conversion, Video Editing and DVD Burner
With the included user-friendly program, DVD Plus, you can transfer the captured data stream into other standard formats, such as AVI, MPEG4, VCD, amongst others. Video editing software for family movies is bundled with this device to allow you to edit and save digital video on your PC hard disk or CD. You can attach the recorded digital video to your e-mail, capture still frames and set up motion-sensing video recording.
