The K8100 is a large board which measures 490x263x32.8mm and weighs 1300g. The body is available in three colours which are black, red and yellow. The buttons on each are black and they all feature LED's which light up red.
Each key has a switch life of 10 million presses and the travel distance is approximately 3.5mm. As this is a gaming keyboard we have the inclusion of non-ghosting technology which allows us to press up to 20 keys at a time and in addition to this Gigabyte have added varying degrees of elastic force to the keys, more on that shortly.
Gigabyte also provide a protective silicone cover with this board and it is flexible enough to type through in normal use, although gamers will want to remove it. Interestingly, as well as protecting the keys the cover also reduces noise, ideal for typing late at night.
At the front of the board we find a removable wrist rest and centred on this is a slightly holographic Aivia crest.
